Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Good sound and a great value, especially at $100. Weakness: Boomy subwoofer, RCA-based cable system. A solid 5.1 system with much to offer. The speakers are fairly directional, but that seems common in the desktop-realm, where you have 5 speakers within arm's reach. It isn't a downside, however, and makes these very appropriate for games. The controller works well, although sometimes one must turn it off to plug in headphones to get it to turn the speakers off. The bass is boomy, however; it...

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Nice, crisp sound when playing both DVD movies and music. Weakness: Huge subwoofer takes up a lot of space. No mute button on remote. I had the Logitech Z-640's previously and the Z-5300e offers a noticeably superior sound experience. I have watched DVDs and listened to music with these speakers attached to the Soundstorm on my Abit NF7-S speakers and the sound is wonderful. The remote control is nice, though a wireless remote might be nicer. At least this way I won't misplace the remote! It would be nice if they put a mute...

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Sounds Wonderful, Gets Very Loud, Excellent Subwoofer Weakness: Short speaker cables, a little expensive, and the sub can be too strong at times, but can be adjusted. Overall, I've been pleased with my Logitech Z-5300e speakers. They produce clear loud sound, which I can here everywhere in the house, and sound better than my previous speakers, a set of Labtec Pulse 424's (Great speakers for the cost, shame they're mot made any more). Having surround sounds for movies is great, and the subwoofer is a beast, putting out lots of bass. Sometimes the bass can be a...

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Strong bass and very little distortion at high volumes. Ability to easily customize the various qualities. Weakness: Large subwoofer makes storage a little uneasy. I would definitely recommend this product. It's great for all sounds I've encountered and easily hooks up to my gaming system (Xbox). Great value for the money.

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Incredible sound. Very powerful base. Easy installation. Weakness: Size of base unit is VERY large. Almost a coffee table. Semi-pricy. I took the time to compare 6-10 brands before purchasing and this was the one that had the top end sound quality I wanted, but still under $200. I didn't intend to spend as much on speakers, but when I heard the difference there was no other way to go. Gaming just isn't the same if the explosions don't shake your chair. I suggest you go to a retailer, listen for yourself and then buy here.

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: THX Certified, Powerful...Very Powerful, Good price for the Power. Looks sharp, not cheap. Rebate helps Weakness: Cords a little short, Bass almost too powerful(if you can call that a weakness) For less than $100 after a $50 rebate, I am 100% satisfied with this sharp looking set of highly effective speakers. I researched the best buys on speakers for several weeks and found that for what I was able to spend, this was the best deal on all accounts. The only other brand I really even considered was Klipsch, and those were way out of my financial ballpark. For half the price, these really...

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: power, sound quality, easy to store and set up around computer or tv and over all, an awsome system Weakness: will let you know after i have them for a while, now can not think of any these speakers has the cleariest sound i have ever heard, and the power is unbeliebable. you can use one system to dj a party in a room from 600 to 800 square feet. You can also use as a suround sound system for your tv and dvd system. It makes it so much fun to just stay at home and watch movies and your favorite tv shows, when you hear the sound that this system can put out.

Logitech Z-5300E Speaker SystemStrengths: Very loud, appearance Weakness: Remote control, wires too short This speaker system will put out a lot of loud bass; probably too much for a small room. This is great for movies, but it seems like too much for certain music (i.e. with the subwoofer volume turned all the way down, it still way overpowers the satellites). The remote has good functionality, but the 1/4" cable connection is ridiculous. There should be a wireless remote, or they should have just...

most bang for the buck
Strengths: crisp, clean sound, wired remote, easy to set-up, attractive design
Weakness: lots of cords/wires, sometimes bass is too powerful
I am not an audiophile but I am a lover of music and I thought it was time to do justice to my music & myself and buy some real speakers rather than rely on my tinny laptop speakers. I did a little research on speakers and this system seemed to pack the most bang for the buck, offering features of systems priced hundreds of dollars more. Overall, I've been really satisfied. It was a breeze to set...
