Storage drive not a back-up driveStrengths: Size, price, quietness, auto start up and shut down Weakness: back up software This is a great drive for a good price. If you are buying it to automatically back up your files, look out! After running the software that comes with the drive, my computer slowed down considerably.

Strengths: Firewire, up and running in seconds. EASY!!!

My Books with firewires are exceptional. Works simply and well. Turns on and off with computer - no need for extra steps to shut down drives. Digital photos and large data files transfer easily. Saves so much time and easy backup system. I've tried others, but this is the best!
