Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB SATA - Fantastic quality/price
Strengths: As quiet as a church mouse, 32MB cache, speedy.
Weakness: None so far.
Have had a number of drives during the past couple of years (Seagate, Western Digital, IBM, Maxtor) so I was a little concerned at first about the Samsung, didn't know much about their drives. Took the plunge however and haven't had any regrets. You can't beat the price really. Its quiet, a lot cheaper than a 1TB (its $113 right now) and has a 32mb cache. Tempted to stock up on them. Whisper Quiet and fast

Good hard drive
Strengths: works well, cheap
Weakness: 3-year warranty
I need a high-capacity hard drive to store my avi files collected from DV and Samsung HD753LJ is the cheapest 750G hard drive on market with less than $140. It works pretty well for my computer, quiet and cool. It may not be as fast as Seagate 7200.11, but for the price, it is a great buy. The warranty is 3 years, which is shorter than 5 years from Seagate.

Silent, fast HDD
Strengths: -Really quiet -fast -3 years warranty

For just over $100, this is a very good, value drive. It is very silent and not very hot. It has 32 MB of cache which makes it a very fast hard drive.

SATA drive
Strengths: Really qiuet action, fast access
Weakness: This is barebone product, electronic is really exposed
I took just a second to configure this product and make it working just fine. I got another one for constant backup. This one is working just fine too. Good warranty.
